Today we present Comitato Nazionale per il Diritto alle Origini Biologiche (National Commitee for Right tyo Biological Origins). The Committee was formed on June 5, 2009, in Naples. The aim was to respond to the numerous requests of those adopted children not recognized at birth and ask to be represented so that the right to know their own origins. As a spontaneous movement, before being officially registered, it has carried out frequent discussions and in-depth preparatory meetings, preparatory to the formulation of a law proposal to modify Article 28 of Law 184/1983 that specifically prevents a child from the right to access their sealed birth records. When  we shared this awesome   post ,  it was November.  At last, the time has come:  The Italian Manifesto for all Italian Adoptees is here! In 2020 Angela Tucker , the leading Adoptee Voice in the USA launched her Adoptee Manifesto .   During the year I've reached out and asked for her collaboration to realize the first AdoptCloud Project: a translated version of the #adopteemanifesto in Italian . Welcome to the Meet the cloud post series - a collection of posts featuring the Italian partners’ voice : constitution, members, goals, collaborations and successful activities. Today we present Italian adoption cloudpartner - F.A. e G.N. The Association F.A. e G.N. stands for Figli Adottivi e Genitori Naturali (Adoptive Children and Natural Parents) it is the first Association in Italy of adult adopted, founded by Luisa Di Fiore, John Pierre Campitelli, and Monica Rossi . It is based in Rome but is located throughout the country and is in contact with similar associations in other parts of the world (Greece / France / United States / Holland / Spain / South Korea and India). Born as a natural evolution of the virtual community dedicated to this theme, FAeGN was founded in June 2000. Today, the Association can count over 3,000 associates and is engaged to: - Offer assistance , moral and informational help, to birth parents whose child has been taken away and given up for adoption....

  WE MADE IT! After a long break - here I present you the CLOUD! If you haven't heard about it yet, you should definitely check out the fantastic project  Ethical Storytelling ? Angela Tucker ( The Adopted Life Blog ) was one of the first adoptees to sign for it! I was asked to respond to  "Illicit Adoption Responses from Lived Experience" for the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH)  Working Group. The Adoption Cloud   You may have heard me talking about the Adoption Cloud ... It is a visionary project let me tell you more about it. Project Objective: The Adoption Cloud - Project  is a portion of this blog,  AdoptCloud , where I am going to feature Italian social personalities; adoptees who are working - disseminating communicating - on adoption throughout social media. Italians speak Italian , average doesn't speak English or speak other languages, but Italians professionals and culture are appreciated and searched for in each field. Do we Italian adoptees get to be invited all over the world to present our work and research? No. Do you want to know why? I don't think it's just because of language! I believe it about presence & awareness ... We are missing a net! Other communities don't know what we are doing; we need to be out there - TO SHOW WHAT WE ARE DOING!!!!... We should ALL present our work and speak out there!  We can do more than interview we can be interviewed; worldwide, people are curious about Italy and want to know about Italian adoptees.  Let's spread our work&word worldwide! On Pxhere ( https://bit.ly/2YEjCzN ) Adoptees, how many of you, us, use social media? And how many of us are on Facebook?! Soooo many! Thanks to the   Social Media Marketing Specialization Course  offered by  Northwestern University  through  Coursera ,  I was able to learn more about social media, how they function, how they can be used, etc.  Throughout the MOOC(s) of course, Professor Randy Hlavac taught us that Virtual communities are generated by either passion or trigger event, and  can be found at the bottom of a social media pyramid (see picture).  Passion communities  are looking for new trends and gossip. They like to talk to their peers and express their opinion. Being an Italian adoptee, I realised our community is fragmented and isolated. Small groups of Italian adoptees are connected online and forming virtual communities. Italian reports estimated that over 69.000 children adoptees entered Italy to be  between 1993 and 2019. T he number of adoptions that occurred before 1993 is uncertain  ( I was born and adopted  in 1990);  there several adult adoptees adopted prior 1989 , so it is possible that estimate adoptee population in Italy is even large. Can you imagine how many of us are out there?   Wouldn't be amazing to be all linked   transnationally  and to breach the language barrier by connecting -  united as a country -  with other networks led by adoptees?! Adoptees in Italy aren't connected to fellow adoptees worldwide* - I want to make that happen! This is the  AdoptCloud 's blog mission, to  bridge and connect  Italian adoptees within the country ...
