Colour Gamma: Adoption and Colour Theory

Image
What is Colour gamma ? And why should one apply colour theory to adoption ? For visual arts, colour theory is the root and base of colour mixture and scheme; and explains basilar visual effects such as colour composition and matching. Mainly theorised by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Johannes Itten .  An Italian saying recites - Not everything is one (white) or the other (black) .  When I use the term  colour gamma , I mean  choice  ~ a  range of opinions or  experience .  Adoption has its own 'colour  gamma'.  I t shouldn't be so hard to say that -  Yes, colours matters! Diversity and freedom of speech matter and they need all colours.  Being the outcome of life experience, adoption is not binary, it is a complex but colourful index.  Every adoption story matters, each with its own light and shadows. If you are practising it (and you should!); COVID-19 self-isolation gives you that kind of mindset since we are all obliged to stay home with no other human contact or stuck with your roomy/partner/family.  I am an adoptee in isolation (in a 20mq place with a very chatting boyfriend and a lovely sometimes extremely annoying cat) and a participant to the Northwestern University | Social Media Marketing Specialization on Coursera. I decided to share three simple actions to put in use for this unforeseen - a more then a month in - situation based on two exciting pieces I’ve read on the subject.
