#Meet the Cloud - Comitato Diritto Origini Biologiche

The Meet, the Cloud post series is back!

Today we present Comitato Nazionale per il Diritto alle Origini Biologiche (National Commitee for Right tyo Biological Origins).


The Committee was formed on June 5, 2009, in Naples. The aim was to respond to the numerous requests of those adopted children not recognized at birth and ask to be represented so that the right to know their own origins.

As a spontaneous movement, before being officially registered, it has carried out frequent discussions and in-depth preparatory meetings, preparatory to the formulation of a law proposal to modify Article 28 of Law 184/1983 that specifically prevents a child from the right to access their sealed birth records. All while dealing with associations of adoptive children and parents present on the national territory.

The Committee has set two lines of action

- operate with any legitimate means to inform, involve and mobilize public opinion by extensively using the mass media and gaining visibility through the internet. 

- take initiatives towards all the Institutional Bodies ( in particular those directly responsible for protecting the rights involved and the solution of the inherent problems) up to the acceptance of the requests proposed by the political groups and the relative presentation of the proposals.

Over the years, the activity of the Committee has overseen the organization of various meetings, conferences, collections of signatures in support of the presentation of proposals, Collections of signatures in support of the production of bills, demonstrations and cultural dissemination and dissemination events. 

To date, the Committee has also taken part in many television broadcasts, and collaborations with associations of the association Fathers separated ass. CIF and the Equal Opportunities Committee for Equal Opportunities of the Naples Bar Association, with the university students of Naples on the subject of the right to origins and the new bills present in Parliament; as well as writers and writers such as Cynthia Russo, Anna Genni Miliotti and Geraldine Fiechter, Tiziano Scarpa, author of the novel "Stabat Mater" (2008) winner of the 2009 Strega Prize.
